Where can i get crocs shoes for 1 year old and how much? I've seen the fake ones for $40 only but not sure of the quality.

Are there any good sandals for babies who's starting to walk?

Thanks.

I don't think there are crocs that fit a one year old or, if they fit, are suitable for teaching/helping an infant to walk

At one years old, our kid started out in soft leather shoes, but I think you can find shoes appropriate for a one year old in any of the baby-oriented shops at Ocean Terminal (basement), SOGO (6th floor), Windsor House (2nd floor), or Lee Gardens Two (3rd floor). We like Dr Kong's, but we didn't discover the shop until after our kid was one, so I am not sure if they have good shoes for a one year old.

Hi tsuiwah,

Thanks...he already has soft leather shoes, i'm looking for something easy to slip on, so i'm thinking of crocs or open sandals.

Hey, I asked the futong market shoes shop, they said no crocs for one year old, the smallest is for 2-3 years old. I saw a pair of slip-in or sandals at Esprit not long ago, may be u can check it out there, I was so tempted to get for my son.

Try the Croc show room in Central (bang opposite California fitness Centre)

I must say that the fake croc shoes from the markets are not very good. They aren't as comfortable as the real ones.

I bought the real one for my daughter when she turned 2, she outgrew it and I thought I could replace with a fake one but she didn't like it.

I really like Dr Kong's shoes as well. They provide good support for the kids. They also have soft shoes for babies learning how to walk. They generally do not recommend their shoes for babies who cannot walk yet (apart from their soft shoes).

You could try Clarks or Hush Puppies but I'm not sure whether they sell them here in HK or not. I get mine overseas from Australia or given by friends from the UK.

You could also try start-rite shoes. Footstop in Pottinger Street stock them and other brands of baby shoes, and they do a proper fitting service.

My 1 year old has had two pairs of Crocs - one with the neoprene strap around the back and another of the normal type. The first I bought at Jusco and the second at Royal Sporting House. I don't think they're a good idea until your little one is an established, stable walker though - but they're very convenient through the summer.

i don't think crocs will be too suitable for a child just starting to walk.

you can't go wrong with a pair of clarks.

My 18 month old started walking a month ago but has the tiniest feet!! I managed in the end to get her some sandals in Stanley Market in what I call Kids Alley. The little lane with just kids clothes shops.

Thanks everyone, i've bought a sandals from clarks - $170. My intention is not really for him to wear to walk, but for him to have his foot covered while we travel, i don't like his leather shoes nor socks as it's hot. The sandals looks cute, even if it's little big for him.

There is a Croc shop on the front at Stanley.
