Hi, Just wondering what are your daily schedule with little one. Besides, feeding , bathing ...

I'm worry that I'm not giving enough for my little one. I read to him, play toys and let him practice the motor skills. Sometimes, my little one appear to be bore with my reading and toys as I'm reading the same books ( few of them) repeatedly and their are only few toys.

What i do with my 6.5 months old boy is sending his dad to MRT in the a.m and take a walka t the park nearby, i usually get a pumpkin pie to eat while he enjoy his view. I sometimes stay out for 1/2 hour or 45 minuts. sometimes i use stroller, sometimes carrier, sometimes sling and sometimes, backpack that has wheel so I push him around, some passerby jokes that it seems like he is in a shopping trolley but he likes it so what? Then he naps for 45 minuts <>, play 1/2 hour, Cereal time, bath, play and he is so ready for his long nap. He usually wakes up at 1-1.15pm, play with him, teach him how to crawl, help him to sit firmly, watch VCD or read him books, teach him single word and signs, 2pm, milk. let him rest, tummy time, play with him, tickle him, cuddle him, swing him around (if i have the energy) and all that you are doing to your baby. Then at around 4pm I will bring him out to do marketing, grocery or just stroll at the mall, park or meeting moms with babies or even the maids with their masters, talk to them and enjoy my egg or coconut tart from Maxim! 5pm milk, nap for 1/2 hour, 6pm bath time, massage him, tickle him, 6.45pm, milk and put on grobag, pray with him and sleep till 6am. Last week onward he started to wake up at 11pm for milk, he is growing so he needs more milk, i gladly feed him as he is just moderate eater, he needs the extra oz of milk.

That is what i do with my baby. Where do you live, maybe we can meet up if we live nearby.

Cheer up mom!

I'm doing Glenn Doman style on math cards, flash cards as well as baby signing.

I go with him in playroom in the morning, park or mall in the afternoon with me or helper.

She is now 10 months old:

She wakes up in the am between 4 and 7, and has a nice long drink of milk. If it is closer to 4, that is in bed with us, and then she stays with us until ready to wake up for the day, if it is closer to 7, it is on the sofa in her room listening to her "wake up and get active" music.

Then, she plays with her papa while I get a shower, brush my teeth, etc. and plays with me while he gets ready for work. She likes to stand on the bathroom counter to watch him shave. I hold her up and we adults chat for a few minutes.

Breakfast is about 8:30, then we change clothes, put on some sunscreen and go out for a walk in the stroller.

9-10 out for a walk. She generally has a 30 min nap during this time. Afterwards, we say hi to the other babies with their Ayis in the garden downstairs and then come up to our house.

When we come in, she says hi to Ayi while I get a drink of water, get online for a few minutes to read the paper, whatever

10:30 or 11:00 more milk.

Plays until lunchtime: knocking over or building with blocks, looking at pictures in her book [we have many many books, but she is really only interested in one right now], crawls around looking for stuff on the floor to put into her mouth, drops Gatorade lids into a metal bowl [what a delightful noise], gnaws on anything at hand, pulls hankies out of an old wet naps box [at first it was tissues or wet naps, but it seemed like a waste, so I made her a box with cloth ones and fold them up like tissues so they are fun to pull out]...

We put her in her chair and eat lunch -- she gets some baby food and some finger food: while her Ayi and I are eating lunch, she eats finger food and we chat with her so she feels like she's part of the lunch conversation.

After lunch, I leave her with Ayi and go out for a while. They play and she has her long nap of the day [sometimes even her long nap is not much more than 30 mins, but sometimes it is more than 2 hours].

I come back home between 3:30 and 4:00 and she gets some more milk, then goes to see Ayi again for a few minutes. Sometimes if Ayi has some shopping to do, she will take the baby and I'll read and relax; otherwise, she plays at home for a while [same sort of stuff as in the morning], I'll usually read to her a bit [she's interested in mouthing whatever book I'm reading but I'll often just read whatever I'm reading out loud]. Sometimes I'll take her to our bed and roll around with her or tickle her tummy or roughhouse a bit or put her on my shins and let her fly like an airplane.

Around 5 we put on some mosquito repellant and go out to the garden to play with the other kids. This often isn't much more than just looking at them and laughing like a maniac, but she's started to walk recently and she made a friend who is two and willing to let her chase him around [she holds onto one of my fingers and takes off in random directions]. Our garden incorporates some river stones piled up beneath trees set into the sidewalk, and she likes to pick up these stones and bang them together or on the sidewalk. She also likes to try to put them into her mouth, which I don't allow. Sometimes she likes to walk into the fountain, which I do allow, but only holding my hand. Every day, I get scolded by some Chinese person for letting her get so dirty or wet or windy or cold [yes, it has been 38C outside and someone scolded me for letting her wear so little clothes!]; generally I just scold them back for touching her hands or say well this is how foreigners do things, but we would never let people smoke around our babies as it is very bad for their health...

At 6, we come in for dinner, which runs about the same as lunch: she gets some baby food and also some finger food while Ayi and I eat our dinner. After dinner, she gets a bath, some baby lotion or baby oil, a smear of vaseline to keep her diaper rash free, pajamas and grobag [a wonderful wonderful product which had an immensely positive effect on her ability to sleep; I only wish that we had found them before she was 6 months old]. Lately, she wants to see that the house is dark and Ayi is going home and nothing interesting could possibly be going to happen while she is asleep. Then, I take her into her dark room, we put on her "sleepytime" music, she gets some milk and goes to sleep.
