We are considering a trip to Club Med with the kids. What type of people go? The kids' programs seem amazing. I need a vacation for my kids, but want to enjoy it as well.
Any thoughts or other suggestions?

We went to the one in Phuket last month to try out the concept with a 14 and 2 year old. can't fault the kids club - it was fantastic for the toddler but the resort itself is tired, the food is SO boring - buffet, buffet and more buffet and generally not good value. Depends what you're after too - beach was good but you are so tied to the resort unless you want to eat out but then you've already paid for your food at club med. Would not rush back......but maybe other locations are better .....

We went to Cherating Club Med in Malaysia. It was great. The kids had a great time. Clientele was quite a few French, expat from KL/SG/other and a few Chinese. Food was great - huge selection. Staff in kids club were amazing. Our kids loved it.

We went to Club Med Phuket a few months ago, it was excellent for the children.
I agree with the previous message, the resort is a bit tired and the buffet very boring and the quality average.
Also, there is a small street between the resort and the beach, so each time you want to go to the beach, you have to cross it (there are cars and small bikes). The beach is nice though.
I heard very good things on Club Med Bintan.
If you look for a place where kids have fun, this is definitively a good choice, you can't go wrong.
