LATCH system for car seats in Chinese cars?

Hello Everyone,

We are moving to China for 1 year in January with our 3.5 year old and 14 month old. We would like to bring our car seats with us. We will be leasing a new car (probably a minivan?) and have a driver.

My question is, do the cars in China have the LATCH tethering system? Or do the car seats just attach with the seat belts? Do seats generally have a tether on the back (you know, one of those hooks to attach the top strap to keep the back of the car seat from moving forward in a crash). I ask because one of our current car seats really only can be installed with LATCH and a top tether and I would like to buy a different one if we can't use it.

Thanks!

Bethany

Not sure about all cars, but we have installed using LATCH in a VW.
