Yes, another dressmaker/tailor thread! Appologies.
I'm looking for a good dressmaker to make a c*cktail dress for reasonable price. Being of a larger, more curvaceous size, am wondering if any anyone who is also of a larger build has any any success with a decent dressmaker/tailor in Hong Kong?
No suggestions of Lo Wu Commercial Centre please or I might just explode.... although this would eliminate the size problem somewhat!!!!!!!!

Hi Lamie - I need a wedding dress making, but although I have an idea of what I want (pictures etc), the dressmaker will have to be able to design it and select the correct type of fabric (i.e. I don't just want a seamstress) - can anyone recommend someone they have use in HK?

Hi girls,
try Patricia Ng at Taipan Tailor in Admiralty Centre. # is: 9436-9433. She is fantastic! I had several coctail dresses made by her, and got lots of compliments. Her price is also moderate. A coctail dress is under $1500.

But can you inform me whether the oufits you or others have had made at these recommendations have been for voluptuous ladies or people shaped like ironing boards?... (staight up and down and flat back and front)... cos that ain't me!!!!

i had my wedding dress made by a tailor in hung hom (wo hu street?). Can't remember his name ... maybe CHAN, but the company is ASUKUSA FASHION ... did a fabulous job!! gorgeous dress for under HK$1500 -- and YES am definitiely of *voluptuous* build ... ani't no easy feat here finding clothes
