My son is 6.5 months old now, he has been doing what your girl is doing now at 4 months too. I bought him gum massager to massage twice a day and teething thingy for him to bite, chew, suck or whatever he feels comfortable. Keep those tingy clean as well as his fingers and hands at all time. This age they feel that sucking or biting their fingers or hands or whatever is soothing and comforting at the same time while exploring to new surroudings. At 6 months, I gave him teething biscuit and he loves it as something he can eat and goes to his tummy. Now the biscuit is his snack in the late afternoon and oh, he enjoys it!

Combi has teethers of different stages for babies of different age. Supposedly help them hold better. You may want to check those out in Eugene Club, Jusco or Sogo.
