hi, i exclusively pumped for 6mths, at which point he was drinking 1L of breast milk every day...
To keep my supply up i drank a lot of fluids, soup, water, milk, etc. and made sure to get a lot a of rest (whenever i could). My supply dropped a lot after i went back to Toronto for a visit. the jet lag and travel were hard on my body i guess...

It may be that your baby is going through a temporary growth spurt...they are generally at 3 weeks, 6 weeks, 3 months and 6 months. Hang in there, your baby will most likely slow down again.

Babies have a growth spurt around 3 months which is very common. This is probably the reason for the increased demand. On average a breastfed baby takes approximately 700 to 1000 ml per 24 hours.
