Hello-
Has anyone had any luck with any natural/homepathic relief from hotflashes?
Is there a good Dr. to see (chinese or western) in HK?
Tried HRT but the weight gain to brutal...

If you can find someone who sells "Mannatech" products the "Plus" tablets work....I PROMISE! In fact I have been out for almost 4 months and my hotflashes are coming back. (Much milder though) I am looking for some, but let me tell you it works! I suffered 2 weeks of hotflashes in 2003, increased my intake from 2 to 3 a day and have had none since. Check our Mannatech.com and look at the products. My choice is 2 optimal health packets a day and one additional PLUS. It does take about 6 weeks to get into your system and you may need to adjust the amount for yourself, but you won't be disappointed!

Evening Primrose oil. I started taking it due to my PCOS and 5 months or so later, my period become regular and has been since ( as opposed to just 4-3 x /year)

Studies showed Japanese women who had regular intake of tofu experienced less or no warm flushes, due to the high level of phytooestrogen contained in so-called soja beans (also found in soymilk but not soysprout as is actually a different kind of grain)... regular means daily intake of tofu at least at one meal and for a few months to see difference, apparently...

A friend recommended that I give up dairy products when I started to get hot flushes. I switched over to rice milk, soy yogurts and gave up cheese (soy cheese is NOT nice). I found my flushes had stopped within a week.
