I am trying to find a really nice wooden doll house for my four year old daughter for her birthday....I have only just started looking but most I have found are plastic. Does anyone know where I could purchase a wooden doll house or a wooden cradle or if I can get them made somewhere as I don't need it until December....

Hi Ausmum, I saw a wooden doll house in one of the kids shops at MegaBox a few weeks back. It wasn't a traditional wooden one, but it was quite cute and colourful. It also came with accessories, like little peole and furniture. I can't remember the name of the store, but it's basically a toy shop on the level where all the kids things are. You can't miss it, there are jungle features all over the ceiling as you are going up the escalator. Good Luck!

hi ausmum i just bought a 4story wooden dollhouse with all the furniture and dolls from toys r us . i have a four year old who wanted the same for her birthday, could not get one then in may but trs has got them now. the company is imaginarium. hope you like it

Or you could google a company called The Dolls House Emporium ( I think), they do mail order, traditional dolls houses and all the accessories. Expensive but beautiful and something to keep forever.

From what I remember Dolls House Emporium are not wood - they are fibreboard. I actually made one of their houses a number of years ago - wouldn't let my 4 year old play with it!!
