I have heard you can hire shopping guides for trips to Shenzen. They will take you over the border and then direct you to the shops you would like to go to and help with prices etc.... Stay with you for the day


Can anyone help with how to get in contact with a Shenzen shopping guide?

Haven't heard of SZ shopping guides, but I can take you to Dongmen area if you like. I know the place really well... only thing is I can't speak Mandarin

I know the lady who used to be very popular has left HK (I think her name is Tula).

Alot of the clubs organise shopping trips with guides like YWCA, American Womens Assoc, Australian Assoc etc. Perhaps try those.

It's easy to do it yourself. If you don't feel confident I'd be happy to help. It's easy to get around and also avoid Lu Wu and go to the better shops in Dongman and in the city centre.There is a small red book you can buy called "Shopping in Shenzhen" It's available in Page One.

Tula's contact details are in the Shopping in Shenzhen book mentioned above. She will put you onto someone who will take you into Shenzhen and get you the best deals and the best quality goods (if that is what you want).
