My daughter went to one in July in Koh Samui, she was a bit worried about it, thought things might get a bit out of hand but she said it was great fun, and much better organised than she'd expected. She paid for a boat to take them out. The only problem was the boat coming back. They had prepaid for the boat coming back, but she said that you had to wade out neck deep to get on the boat and there was about 100 people trying to get on a boat that was supposed to take about 30, her friend got pushed under water, and she got a bit battered, she said it was quite scary, so her and her friends ended up paying out another 500bht each to go on a different boat.

Why don't you just stay on Ko Pha Ngan, there are many lovely beaches away from Hadrin (I wouldn't recommend staying in Hadrin at Full Moon) so no need to go through the whole nightmare of finding a boat to take you back to Samui.
