Hi,
I have just arrived in Hong Kong and went the other day to the city to buy an auto seat for my son - however I only found a few and they did not look very safe.
What should I buy and where should I buy it? What sort of testing does the auto seats undergo here in Hong Kong? My son is 16 months and weighs about 13 kilos.

bumps to babes has most choice - go to the one in Horizon plaza - agree w cara, all seats are same as in Europe, US etc

i agree on bumps to babes. we went there some time ago to check for a car seat. they do have the britax brand (same as roemer in germany) as well as maxi cosi which both have excellent test results.
actually you can read the tests online first but in the shop they do have a very good knowledge as well.

ordered my britax seats directly from the US. They are sturdier and go to a much higher weight. If someone is flying over, they can be brought as check-baggage (leave them in the box) and STILL COST WAY LESS than what you pay for here. I even had one shipped (airmail) and the total cost was far less than what i would have paid for here for somehting only mildly similar (in features). britax here are from the UK, Britax in USA are a bit bigger, as they take the child longer (older).
