thats the price for a top stylist in the rest of Asia .. I dont need a total revamp I have long straight hair and just want a good cut with out have to pay ridiculous prices.

Behind Sogo in Causeway Bay, there's lots of hair salons. A wash, cut, blow dry is under $200. They are very good but the salons gets very busy and crowded.

You could try the Fudge salon in CWB. The senior stylists there charge $280 for haircut.

There are many very good professional and dedicated local Chinese Salons here in Hong Kong.

They pride themselves on proper training and good work ethics.

Either visit online or contact one of the top product companies here for recommendations, ie: Wella, L’Oreal, Goldwell etc, to find one near you, or pop into one you feel looks comfortable to you, and ask the receptionist to let you have a chat with who they would recommend.

I have always been impressed with the high standard of the vast majority of Hairdressing here in Hong Kong and would not hesitate to commend them.

I can also recommend Edmund from Tommy's. I tried him out, having been recommended by some other friends, and he's very good and a haircut only costs $146.
