I know these things are always subjective - but if I was to move to london and earn 45-50K pounds as a single woman who still needs to save to buy property in Australia, buy clothes and eat out - is that a practical salary?

it's less than my current HK salary - which is unlikely to be matched.

office in Holland Park - would want to live near by.

no children,no school fees etc...

thanks for your thoughts.

Would be rather expensive to rent in&around holland park (though don't know what standard of living accomodation u are used to - Would you have a flat/apartment/house/shared property...).

What type of field would you be working in; as the salary seems low also for the area.

Appreciate you don't have to worry about kids etc but still don't forget tax in the UK and my guess is you won't be putting too much aside for property purchases.

Sorry to put a downer on your move - but hope all goes well for you whatever you decide.

thanks - it seems low to me (though relative considering job websites...)I'd be okay with a small bedsit or studio...but still want to be able to go out, enjoy the city etc.
