is any one else sitting at work missing their baby? today is just a bad day. sometimes i just can't accept that we are both at work and have left him with somebody else to look after... :(

it is just a horrible feeling that someone else is bringing up your child - have been 'suffering" since march. no go on part -time at all on this country - not good. Back in UK, would have been back to work for 2-3 days a week, no problem... Very sad, when will this country catch up with Europe/US/Aus etc on the part-time - flexible hours!!

I miss baby a lot too and hate leaving baby at home with helper too. but i guess i'm lucky as a working mum. my husband and i manage two companies between us and we live 3 minutes from where we work.

I do agree part-time is not as common in Hong Kong as it is in other countries. However, there are part-time opportunities out there - you just have to be persistent. A few in my group of friends have gone part-time over the last couple of years - it took us a while to find good and understanding employers. I would urge everyone who wants to go part-time to look for part-time - sooner or later it will become more common in Hong Kong.
