Hi

I have friends in town and want to take them to a restaurant on the weekend (in the evening) which will give them a taste of HK without being too expensive.

Any ideas preferably on the HK Island side?

take them to the private kitchens, where else by HK will you find something like that? and they are not too expensive as a rule..
