Questions re: schooling for 2 yr old

Our daughter has recently turned 2 and is in a bi-lingual (English-Cantonese) Pre-Nursery class. She is good in both languages as our helper also speaks Cantonese. My husband and I do not.

We plan to stay in HK another 3 to 4 years and will then move back to Canada. Any advise or suggestions what schooling we should enroll her in next year when she turns 3 and so on? Local or International? Our helper cannot read or write Cantonese, just speak and understand it. We live in Tung Chung, so we do not want to enroll her where the commute will be long.

jassy67... I'm italian, my husband is german and our little girl (2.5) was born in shanghai. We now live in KL and she goes to the german kindergarten because we want her to develop her german, since i speak to her in italian most of the time. She also understands english and can "speak" in the 3 languages. Since your daughter understands both english and cantonese and since I assume you and your husband speak to her in english, y not leave her in a cantonese - speaking kindy? That was she'll be able to learn both languages pretty well and will have an advantage when you'll go back to Canada. Once she starts elementary school then I would put her in an international school. Hope this helps...
