My son got 2 tiny teeth at 11 months then nothing until 16 months. He was very slow with his teeth until about 2 years old when he finally got teeth most kids got at about 16 months. He is now over 2.5 years and has almost a full set. I was hoping for a full set by the time he was 3 so we are ahead of my schedule! My health nurse reminded me you don't see teenagers without teeth. But if it makes you feel better a visit to the dentist wouldn't hurt.

hi, if it worries you - take your little on to dentist they do x-ray to see what is "coming" down, if they see all teeth there, well, nothing to worry about, it is just a matter of time - they will come down!

You really can't do anything about this, so please relax. Read what the health nurse said above. It's hard though when all the other mums are talking about how many teeth THEIR babies have, isn't it?

Ruth, you made me chuckle! so true, and I AM one of those mothers!! I do tell everyone that our twins had 4 teeth at 4 months and 16 teeth each at 12 months (totally true!). But the main reason why I tell everyone that is that, everyone else's babies of same age that we know of, are walking very well and ours not really!! So i have to have something! So I "throw" the teeth thing in! :)

I wouldn't worry about it. We all find something to worry about, my kids all got their 1st teeth at 6 months and the others soon followed but now I have the opposite worry that I'm paranoid they're falling out to early. My youngest daughter lost her 1st one at 51/4, and at 5y 7mths has just lost her 1st big tooth at the top. Most kids don't lose them till they're 7. A friend of mine's kids didn't get theirs till they were nearly 1 1/2, and they lost them a lot later too. And apparently it does run in families as to when you get them, so it would be interesting to know when you and your husband got your 1st.
