Either pay for a facial that includes exfoliation or buy a scrub to accomodate your skin type. Most therapists recommend exfoliating every other day while some say every day - again depends on your skins needs.

Look at your skin and see of you have black heads or whiteheads before washing your face. It you do, then exfoliate!
