could anyone recommend where to stay please? Have been twice and cant remember what good areas to stay are, in terms of not too far for main attractions? Many thanks!!

It's on the other side of the river so if its a weekday the traffic would be an issue getting to sukhumvit... but I dont imagine weekends would be a big problem.

We stayed at the Shangri-la. It's right by the river and convenient to the Sky rail. We took the free shuttle boat to the Oriental restaurant at the other side of the river for dinner and show. Also Sky rail is useful if you don't want to huggle with the taxi drivers. Have fun.
