Where do I find them? Are they in HK? I also need to know what I'm looking for; eg: I presume they're in a can, and what area in the supermarket (P 'n' S) would I find them? Thanks.

Sometimes you can find in Park'n shop along with the fresh veggie. Fresh one are way better than cans.

Yes..most super don't sell them in a can as you can find them at the wet market and the superstores of Welcome and Park n Shop fresh. They look like a round root that most will have in a big wicker basket in the wet market.... if they don't understand water chestnut you can say (Ma Ty-ee) and they may know what you are saying. Take them home and peel off the thick skin and you'll see the white chestnut that we are all use to seeing in a can.
