perhaps you can let me know your English name and i can help you to think of a few Chinese names (with explanation) for you to choose the one that you would like to use? I would try to teach you how to pronounce it by using the pingyin too.

If you speak a bit of French, I remember seeing this website (check chine nouvelle on the internet) where they "generated" your first name (at least common ones) which were "nice" (like mine would have been precious agatha, sth like that)....

HERE IT IS ;

http://www.chine-nouvelle.com/prenoms/recherche.html

Here are the results

Alexandra

Alexandra 亚历山德拉 (Yà lì shān dé lā)

Alexandra 亚历山德琳 (Yà lì shān dé lín)

If you want to check the individual meaning of each character, type the character or the pronunciation (without tones is OK) in the following dictionnary, then look up for the meaning in this website (in French):

And here, you can ask an expert (in Basic French : Bonjour, comment traduiriez-vous mon nom - OZOL- en Chinois)) to translate your last name, for instance... you'll spot the answer even if you don't speak French, it's pretty much straightforward

Forgot to tell you all translation will be made in Mandarin, of course....
