All of these schools follow the Bristish Curriculm. Anyone know the differences and similarities of these three schools?
I heard FIS is very intense academically since Reception (chidren are expected to read by end of Reception and start to write alot starting P1) while ESF is well balanced. And I know nothing about GSIS.
Any insights/advices would be great.

I believe FIS and GSIS have 'International' sections that follow the British Curriculum.
GSIS has a very early start time (7.30AM?) and I'm told it is very structured (stereotyping or what?).
FIS does not have as good an academic reputation as GSIS or ESF schools and feedback I've had wasn't that great. Kids don't wear uniform and many can be seen hanging around outside the entrance smoking their lungs out.
ESF has a good balance across the board including curriculum and the 'mix' of kids in schools. They also have very good learning support in many of the schools.
I believe ESF costs less (or at least until the next fee increase!).
You should try and visit any school you are thinking of sending your kid(s) to in order to get a better feel of which would best suit.

I had 1 kid in primary at GSIS for 2 years, and 1 in secondary for 2 years. Personally we had a lot of problems with the school, they push them really hard (2 hours of homework a night at 6/7. Very little time to socialise in primary as they had no lunch break. Secondary was our biggest problem my daughters grades started slipping, she was losing her confidence, and despite several attempts int trying to get consultations with the teachers and the Head, we got no where, so that plus the cost pushed us into withdrawing them and sending them to ESF. Both were much happier instantly, My daughters grades went right back up and her confidence returned. Thats not to say its a bad school, but definately not the one for us. I also think the fact they have kept int touch with no friends they made there, is quite significant.

I intend to send my girl to FIS international secondary section (F.1). Hence, my daughter sat for admission test last Friday afternoon. To my surprise, I found a number of senior students sitting outside and smoking. Some couples were kissing during lunch hour. It seems that the security guard didn't stop them. Oh, my god! Should I send my daughter to study there? Please advise.

Grapes, Do you really need any advice? Had I have seen that then my mind would have been well and truly made up - not a chance. I know what would happen to students at my children's school had they been sitting outside and smoking - suspension - just not on! The school is obviously not bothered how it's students represent it!

Yes, I would like to have your advice on FIS, please coz I am considering to send my girl there. However, some of their students' behaviour let me hesitate.
