Which one? West Island or Island School

ORIGINAL POST

Looking into sending my child to either one of these schools next year - we are in the catchment area for both. Does anyone on this forum have children at either of these schools to help guide me as to what I should look for when making the choice.

Does one school lean towards being more sports orientated than the other - my daughter loves sports? She knows children going to both schools next year.

Really appreciate any help. Thanks

If I were you I would request to visit each school. West Island usually has an open day/evening every year - I think during this term. I have three children at West Island and I highly recommend it. The sport is great - young, enthusiastic PE teachers - male and female. Great indoor swimming pool and access to the University Sport Centre at Sandy Bay for outdoor sports. Academic results also excellent as at Island. Obviously such a personal decision but anyway just to let you know that West Island is a great choice. I have three happy kids there!

maz27 - you have posted this same post under Mums & Dads and as explained there by several of the posters there that have taken the time to respond to you, it is unlikely in fact almost impossible to be in the catchment area of both. I suggest that you clarify this with ESF HO then go from there.
