We have been using a Maxicosi carseat plus a Quinny Zapp frame for the past year and been very happy with the combo.
Now that bubs is too big for the Maxicosi, i wonder if there are any larger alternatives to this kind of system? We changed our Zapp round so that it's now an upright stroller but i miss being able to move bubs from the car onto wheels directly, particularly when we are traveling.
I've heard of the Sit-and-Stroll. How safe is this? Is it possible to use it as a day-to-day stroller?
Any other suggestions? Thanks!

mayafox,
i don't use it but have seen the sit-an-stroll in action before. i think cara on this forum has that too, maybe she can advise. but from what i have seen, the seat itself is nearly touching the floor so abit tricky to push. other than that, i hear that it's better for travelling (especially if you want to use a carseat on the flight) compared to regular, everyday use.
for those without cars, i think more people use joeysafe harness or this other device called tote n go. both are NOT carseats and will never be as safe as one. but they are more portable than carrying an actual carseat for taxi rides once your kid grows out of his infant carseat. and i guess at the end of the day, if you choose not to go with an actual carseat, it's better to use a harness than nothing at all.
i use the joeysafe for my 18 month old toddler. takes some practice to fit it on a wriggly child quickly but i feel much better that he has it on when he's in a cab. you can google and also check past threads about the harnesses that i've mentioned.

Thanks WM -- I remember seeing mentions of the Joeysafe now. Will check them out. Thanks!

Hi
I live in HK and am expecting a baby in March and getting my head around the best transport system for my new baby. I take taxis alot and do not have a car. It sounds like the system you have used to date is good. I don't have any advice for your next step, but if your maxi cosi and zapp frame are in good condition and you are interested in selling, I would be interested in buying.
thanks

I have been searching the web for information on where to purchase a joeysafe harness and cannot find anything. The website does not work and I cannot find any other information about it. Has anyone purchased one recently- within the last few months or 2007 at least? I looked on the motherswork website in Singapore but they do not have one there. I think the company may have gone out of business.
