you might want to look at the hoards of outdoor gear in the campling/hiking stores running along Fa Yuen Street (Dundas Street end). branded goods and all sorts like karimor and etc available.
Yau Ma Tei exit A2 would be your nearest MTR stop.

I found a great store today, and it's a chain. ProTrek has hiking gear from boots to backpacks to socks to hats. I even found a bladder for my backpack!
