Baking Soda and Baking Powder

I am posting to find out where I can get baking soda and powder (I also posted about the vegetable oil... I am having a hard time!). Again, I have tried Carrefour but I may be missing it because all I seem to find is corn starch. Could anyone point me in the right direction for this? A description or name of the brand or product would be very helpful!

You can find these things in the foreign food shops in Guangzhou. You can also find them in Yi De Lu market shops which are just west of Haizhu Square market. Sometimes you have to buy a large container of them in the Yi de Lu shops, but they will sometimes be cheaper than buying them at the foreign food shops.


Depending on what part of the city you live in...there are import shops all over. If you are on Er Sha Island, there is a shop in the middle of Gold Arch. If you are over the bridge by the Ramada Hotel (ZhuJiang New City) Oliver is across from the Ramada on the west side of Clifford Mansion. If you are on Shamian Island, there's another Oliver there, in the middle, near one of the footbridges over to the mainland. If you are in TianHe, there are a number around there. Aussino, and Corner Deli are the biggest ones, or used to be anyhow.


Best for you to go to a big hotel and ask for thats prd magazine. That's Pearl River Delta used to be known as thatsgz. It has listings of these sorts of places.
