Hubby and I are thinking about taking our 3 mth old on vacation to Kota Kinabalu. Has anyone travelled there with such a young baby? Is it safe, clean, easy to get around etc?
Any recommendations on where to stay? Looking for a peaceful place for our first family vacation since baby. Thanks!

Hi sasina, we are going to K.K. with our baby too. Will be there for our x'mas, also our first holiday since BB was born. She will be just 6 months old by then. We are staying at the Magellan resort. I heard the Shangri-la Tanjan Aru also not bad. I found one website that offers really great rates. http://www.DirectWithHotels.com I read some reviews earlier. One says their babysitting service is good. And next month, i will take BB to see the doc. Just wanna make sure BB has all injections first. Cheers

i posted a thread asking the same question a few months back. we went to langkawi in the end but spicegal on this forum provided lots of great info about KK that i hope to use someday. do a search on past threads to find it.

Hi I live in KK now. and KK is a safe and nice place for babies. :)
we gave birth to our second dd here too!
The nice and popular resorts that is children friendly will be Shangri-la Tanjung Aru., or Shangri-la Rasa ria. Then there are also sutera harbour, nexus karambunai.
For location Shangri-la Tanjung Aru is closer to downtown so it will be much easier for you if you need to buy some stuff for baby. While the other resorts are located outside the city.
