We have a couple of 15 to 20 meter tall trees in our garden which need to be cut down. "Back home" its fairly easy finding specialized gardeners/Lumberjacks. They crawl up the trees wearing shoes with hooks, and a chainsaw hanging from the waist belt ~ a tree is down in a matter of hours. (Charge approx 8K)
We had a few local gardeners coming by, all talking about building a bamboo scaffold, and quoting prices from 30 to 55K... for that price I can fly in a lumberjack from back home.
Does anyone know a specialized lumberjack not in need of building a bamboo scaffold...?

Dear M: Thanks, Craig will come by tomorrow morning.
Dear S: Much bigger, and further... yes in my garden, but its goverment land, plus standing close to CWB road, and that in a zone reserved for road widening 10 years from now.
Anyway, I have just contacted DC who will get the Lands Dep't to call me back... so let's see. My new hope is to get them to cut it down based on big trunks falling in to the garden where our child is playing.

Craig dropped by (very pleasant man), but found the job… too big.
Risk to the public – very good point – I will use it when the Lands Dept. contact me… not sure if I should hold me breath…

Dear Opa... it surely is, but the tree is half eaten by white ants, and on a windy day dropping 100 to 200 kg branches... frankly quite scary !

Get hold of AFCD with the ants and potential danger to road traffic they may remove the tree for you FOC
