the weather is changing, which means it's time to bring out the knee high boots. i would like to buy a new pair, however, i am fortunate enough to not be of the same stick thin size as a majority of women are here. well...at least that's what they cater to in shoe stores which do sell leather boots. have tried marks and sparks, but they don't fit the way i want them to. so am wondering if anyone can recommend a place where i could get leather boots made for a reasonable price, good quality? locations in shenzhen and hong kong would be the most helpful. or could i buy a pair and get them stretched in the calf area?

Great shop in Tsim Sha Tsui ferry pier (next to the Wanchai / upper deck Central entrance, before the stairs on the right, after the shop selling chinese clothes and memorabilia) catering for my "bigger feet", at v. reasonnable prices. Didn't see any boots there, but maybe early in the season : you might want to check the store (beware it closes at 7:00 or 7:30) and ask them (they understand english) next time you cross the harbour.
