I have read many threads about the joeysafe and other harnesses available for use in taxis. But the joeysafe website is not related to the harness and I can't find any information about any other harnesses on the internet. Has anyone bought something for use in a taxis recently and where did you get it?
Thanks

I ordered one from a website in Taiwan, actually never used it... too complicated for us I guess.
If you're interested I'd be happy to sell it. I'll probably put an ad soon about is actually !

Think it's called the Freedom Ride now, or something like that. We like it a lot.

Looks like the coy might be out of business - I just checked their website (where I ordered one from about a year ago) and it's now a link trap.
Keep an eye out on ebay, this site's classifieds etc - you may get lucky and pick up a used one.

If you're interested in buying a new joeysafe/freedom ride you can get them from Singapore - email Angela on joeysafesg@yahoo.com.sg - she can post them to HK for around $99 Sing if you transfer $ to her bank account or if you are travellling to Sing she'll bring it to your hotel.

Their website is often down for some reason.
We have one and use it all the time for taxi rides and when we are on holiday - it is great.
It is hard to get on, so we just leave it on when we go out - and undo the bottom strap when he has to go to the toilet.
The one thing is, it isn't really for your baby to sit on their own - it is best with the baby between your legs or on your lap and the seat belt through the strap. Now our son is 21 months old and we can have him in the 'middle' seat belt, if it is super tight and we are next to him.
Hope that helps.
A friend uses the baby'b'air that you can buy at B2B in taxis - it is easier to use than the joeysafe.
If you do a search on this site for 'harness' you will see a thread where I listed and compared all the ones on the market - it might be interesting to read.
