You can still breastfeed if you have a cold, just make sure your drink lots of liquids to help with your cold and milk supply.

definitely continue as bubs likely already been exposed to whatever's affecting you, plus your milk will have the antibodies to fight "it" off ... ... if you wean (even temporarily) now, bub won't get those antibodies ... ... direct feeding is better, as more antibodies are transferred then ... don't know the exact science, but that's what dr. newman (b/feeding guru) states

Take care and get more rest now you are sick. You have to protect your immune system when you are a new mum. Drink lots of soup and juice and really take it easy. Go to bed with your baby and sleep and nurse your baby. You'll get better much faster.

If your baby does get your cold, it won't be as bad because your breastmilk will have antibodies for your cold! Isn't that cool?

Breastfeeding is the best way to protect your baby from illness. Before you showed symptoms of illness, your body produced antibodies against the virus. Those antiboidies were passed to your baby through your breastmilk protecting him/her. Keep breastfeeding your baby directly, there is no reason to express your milk. Even if baby contracts your illness it is generally a much milder shorter course of the illness.
