I don't know about prices but I would buy in Singapore just for the convenience and the warranty. Also, usually shops in HK include a number of free tunnings. Obviously you couldn't benefit from this freebe if you bought in HK and shipped to Singapore.

For casual playing, I would recommend a digital piano such as Yamaha clavinova series or Roland. They have exact piano touch and you can use with headphone so don't need to worry about neighbour's complaints. Well to be honest, the key touch is a little lighter than normal accoustic piano but I think it's better since it's easier to play. And cheaper, lighter, less space and no need for tunning.

Hi - if you're moving to Singapore, i would recommend that you buy there. After such a long haul move, the piano would definitely require another tuning.

The prices are quite good in Singapore. There are companies which provide rentals as well and if i don't remember wrongly, they should be a lot cheaper as compared to HK.
