Hi, my boy has just started feeding using bottle. How much should I give him? he is 5 month old now. He feeds 5 times a day (including a midnite feed) and I give him 130ml each time. He seems to finish all with no problem. I think he can takes more, but neither does he seem hungry after 130ml feed and can last for 3-4 hours. There's once I gave him 150ml, and he possett a bit (which he doesn't if I breastfeed him). I am giving him express breast milk.
He is an asian baby.

i would increase his bottles a little, esp the ones before his sleep - 7 pm (or whatever time you put him down) - he might be going through a growth period in that case he needs more. Bottle fed babies I understand tend to possett a bit more than bf babies - ours used to projectile vomit! it is fine if he possetts a little..

my 5 month old takes about 160 mls 5 times a day @ 7,11,3,7 and 11. :)

The research tells us that exclusively breastfed babies take in an average of 25 oz (750 mL) per day between the ages of 1 month and 6 months. Different babies take in different amounts of milk; a typical range of milk intakes is 19-30 oz per day (570-900 mL per day).
We can use this information to estimate the average amount of milk baby will need at a feeding:
Estimate the number of times that baby feeds per day (24 hours).
Then divide 25 oz (750ml) by the number of feedings.
This gives you a "ballpark" figure for the amount of expressed milk your exclusively breastfed baby will need at one feeding.
