Thanks for the response. I understand what you are saying.

My main interest in finding these organic products is the fact that 70% of what we put onto our skin or hair is absorbed into our body and cells and we truly don't know the side effects of these chemicals in hair products. Example if we found out later that hair products or perfumes caused breast cancer or prostate cancer would we still use it???

In our quest to look beautiful we could be killing ourselves.

More and more people are asking themselves these questions and getting great results with alternatives.

Not quite sure were you got the husband bit from. You sound a bit tired.

Thanks for the offer of coffee (organic i hope!). I may take you up on that one day.

And yes some water is very toxic, thats why its good idea to reduce to your exposure to as much chemicals as possible.

Cheers

aveda hair dyes have high naturally derived content if you check their website they list percentages. Here in Singapore some of the Japanese salons offer henna. You have to sit with a heavy mud on your hair at least an hour but thats price you pay.

I didn't use the word organic to describe their products. However I have very a sensitive scalp I find their dyes suit me. I have never worked for any labs but have been the keeper of a head of hair for a couple of decades. Research labs associated with product manufacturers (aveda included) have a huge financial interest in having hairdressers who push products on clients believe in their product. So I don't think it's always wise to describe lab results vs consumer anecdotal evidence as "fact and rhetoric." But like said I have never worked in a lab I am just stay home mum offering what I thought was an almost if not quite, answer to the post based on what works for me.
