I have just renewed mine. 600$ for 3 years at the China rfesources bldg in wanchai., The lowest a travel agency quoted me was 1100$. it took me 1 hour on a Wed am and 10 mns to pick it up 4 days later.

you can have it in 1 day or 2days, but i can't rememeber the fees.

I may be wrong but I think you also need to be a permanent ID card holder and have had a China visa before.

mom & dad are both Permanent ID holders but foreign nationals. kids are permanent residents and have ROA, but of course no id card, as under 11yrs ... we've also already had various 6mth visas in teh past

any idea about getting the visa for the kids too??

Need to supply one ID photo, photocopy of HK Permanent ID plus their form that could can download on their website of fill in as you walk in.

There's no special Tick box for the 3 years visa, only 12/24 months I think but if you ask the person who will take your passport, just make sure you ask for 3 years. Nothing easier to do!
