Microsoft Word

I've compiled a list on Microsoft word and in hindsight would've made life easier if it was in alphabetical order. Is it possible to click on something to change the list so it's itemised alphabetically so I don't have to start again? Sigh...

You can sort lists. You may need to change the text to a table to do the sort, but maybe not. I use OpenOffice, not Word, so I can't give you the mouse clicks, but it is possible.

yep changed the list to a table....

then in the tables and bordering tool bar there a button with an A-Z and Z-A

if you dont have the tables and borders tool bar right click the standard tool bar (the one with file, edit, format) then click tables..

How do I turn the list into a table? I'm not that computer literate so need step by step instructions. I'll forgive you for rolling your eyes! ha ha!

I got to where the box comes up and now I'm stuck. The box goes:

Sort by

Paragraphs Type: Text Ascending

Descending

Then by

Then by

Header Row No Header Row.

My list is compiled of a list of terms and underneath every term is it's meaning, so maybe the computer won't let me alphabetically list it because of the way it's set out?
