hi there, basicaly wanting to go to hk in a couple of months, i'm 25 year old male with a british passport(also have an irish passport). my girlfriend is from hk but has been living here(england) for a while and she is going back to hk so i wanna go with her. as i understand it i can go for 6 months 'visa free' and look for work once there? is this right? i dont have a degree only gcse's and a levels, the sort of work i would want is bar/restaurant manager (or anything really, pay not a big issue!!) i have lots of experience and good references. i speak basic mandarin and cantonese as well as japanese if that makes a difference. i read that i need to show sufficient funds to support myself-how much is this? i cant find a figure anywhere!!
anyway any help would be greatly appreciated, sorry about the length of the post!! thanks!!

I have seen quite a few jobs offering sponsorship to those that speak Japanese - although you did say yours was at a basic level.
Plus those jobs were in the admin/cust serv. fields...so don't now if they would appeal to u!
