if you're looking at the fresh tofu -

the varieties are in TEXTURE - there is generally silken, medium and firm. If it is your first time with your baby trying tofu, i'd go silken - as it can be mashed up very nicely with other purees your baby has had and just be eaten as such.

If your baby likes finger foods - and picking up with his fingers, you can take firm tofu, slice it up and pan fry it in olive oil or canola oil and then cool and chop into bite size chunks.

I'd say silken too. less rich in calcium and protein than the firmer ones, but most probably easier on the stomach too.

i read that Kefir is good for allergy control..... my baby loves his kefir(it tastes liek yoghurt) without sugar or added fruits.

kefir is fermented milk. It's very similar to yoghut as in you add a culture to milk and let it set for 12-24hours.

The culture looks like bits of cauliflower, then you take take the culture (kefir grains they're called) put them in a fresh glass container with some more milk. I read about it before and after some hunting found somebody in hong kong to give me some grains.

my baby isn't allery prone, so i can't say wehter there's truth or not in this statement.

I would send you some grains if i had enough to spare, but this will probably take some time.

you can order them online http://www.kombuchapilz.de/english/prices.htm

you can see from the pic what the kefir grains look like.
