Could anyone recommend a great spa in Shenzhen - similar quality to Four Seasons or Mandarin Landmark in Hong Kong. Want to have a girls' afternoon of pampering.

Spas in SZ are meant for hourdes of people, thousands at a time. If you want to go somewhere like the Four Seasons or the Landmark, the prices will be quite high - similar to Hong Kong. If you want the SZ experience, the Queen Spa is nice and has transport to/from Lo Wu.

Personally would touch Queen's, well except for the Dim Sum which is great. Had a very bad experience there and their customer service is appalling.

If you are looking for Four Seasons or Mandarin levels of pampering it will cost you pretty much the same as HK.

Not at all looking for a Shenzhen experience. I'm quite happy to pay prices equal to Hong Kong for a high-quality, luxurious spa. I'm not trying to save money, must be in Shenzhen overnight and want to go to a spa whilst there.

So I raise the question again -- are there any luxury spas in Shenzhen? At hotels? Anywhere.

I also go to Queen's Spa, and have always had positive experiences there. It is supposed to be one of the best in SZ. Helps wonders if you speak Chinese, although one of the manager's is Russian.

Queen Spa's menu is in English, which is very helpful.

I have not come across any spas in Shenzen that is of the same quality as Four Seasons or Mandarin. The spas there are generally cheap, full of HK tourists, Chinese (Mandarin speaking though there is some Canto spoken) and aims at quantity over quality.

I have been to Queens but I find it too big (spread over several floors) although on the whole it was fairly clean. I have also been to several others, always brought there by friends as I do not speak Mandarin. Basically they are more or less the same - clean but somewhat tacky, definitely not the luxurious spa that you want.

I have not tried the 5* hotels though and that might be your best choice.
