calling all with good interior design eye

Our main door opens to a large hallway and I want to hang a large mirror on the side of the wall (170cm) above our beautiful teak shoe cabinet (100cm) and oriental seat (~60cm). My questions are:

(1) What length size should the mirror be to create "balance"? 100cm encompassing shoes cabinet width only or 160cm encampassing both cabinet and seat?

(2) What is the feng shui aspect of mirror in hallway?

Many thanks, MB

I don't know if I have a good eye but I would somewhere in between the two, like 140cm. When I can't picture things I often look at furniture websites where they show things in rooms like pottery barn, that gives you an idea of balance even the items aren't the same as yours.
