Help wanted from any keen gardeners out there !!!

Now that the weather has changed our new plants are being eaten alive by Slugs. Does anyone know where I can go to get something to kill the little blighters ?

I know I could try beer in a cup in the ground but I prefer to drink that myself !!

Any recomendations would be welcome
