I'm planning to buy a 2nd hand car. Budget up to $80k. Anyone know of car markets where I can go and check out various models/makes... There's one I know in Wanchai next to Grand Hyatt, but the cars there are high end and expensive...

Well for your budget I'd look at going to Cheung Sha Wan, there's 5 floors of cars there in the old abattoir which is located on the corner of Lai Chi Kok Road and Tonkin Street. Another good place would be the convention centre in Kowloon Bay.

There is a residential development called Aqua Marine in Cheung Sha Wan / Mei Foo area with good selection of cars.

Do be careful though, a lot of expats have quite an exaggerated assumption of their car's value. So check carefully and compare prices.
Also make sure you get to know the car market a bit before you spend, what is a nice car "back home" could be a burden and literally unsaleable in HK. And an older car will only be of interest to the local market when you come to sell so make sure it's one that has demand.

i'm looking for black peugot 206 cabrio. seen many ads on 28car.com and some other online car sites but they don't really give a reliable impression and it's such a hassle to call, meet, test etc when you're an expat and mos of the owners are local...
