just wondering how many meal & milk do your baby have per day. My little one can't sit still for more than 10 mins to finish his congee everyday.
He just take 5 tablespoon the max. Not willing to have congee for dinner. Love milk, bread, biscuit , fruit.
his schedule goes like this:
morning 6am 7-8oz milk
nap 1/2 - 1 hr
11am congee
2pm milk 3-4 oz
4-5pm milk 5-6 oz
6pm congee (still try to feed him, not interested)
8pm sleep 7-8 oz milk
12 midnit 9-8 oz milk
is this alot of milk consumption.... just worry...
do you have any baby reciepe to share?
I don't mind to make western food.
thanks much

my LO's schedule is pretty simple. 3 meals 4 bottles
7-8am 180ml milk
10am rice cereal w fruit & yoghut
12pm 150-180ml milk
3pm rice cereal w meat & veg; fruit for desert
5-6pm 150-180ml milk
7:30pm rice cereal or baby noodle w meat & veg; fruit desert
9pm 150ml milk
for all meat/veg/fruit i just steam it myself (any combination, tho meat on it's own or just with carrot), then use the chopper to chop it up *a bit* smooth ---not quite puree. then i freeze in ice cube trays and dole out about 3 veg and 3-4 fruit and 1-2meat for each meal. each cube is "about" 1TBSP or 15ml each. i make about 4TBSP rice cereal each meal too. some days LO doesn't eat everytning, some days it's gone super fast ... i usually do all my "steaming" on teh weekend and after freezing have enough for more than a week's supply easy. no more daily steaming .. but i know that's not common here (i've heard most moms prefer to prepare fresh each day/meal) --- just no way i'd have the time with 3 under 4
have just started trying baby pasta (pastatta) with home-made tomato sauce (salt-free) and added a cube of beef for iron ... ... a "bit" like a starter spaghetti .... bub seemed to really like it
i definitely don't feed again during the night. but then i've been lucky all my LOs slept thru (9hr+) from about 6mths.
for recipe ideas, google "homemade baby food" or "easy homemade baby food" and see what you get ... LOADS of ideas out there ... it's just finding the time to "do it all"

Here's what my LO is on :
7-8 a.m. : 4 oz formula + baby cereal mixed with 2-3 oz formula
11-noon : lunch 8-9 oz of solids (protein + veg/fruit)
3-4 pm : 8 oz formula
6-7 pm : dinner 8-9 oz of solids (carb + veg/fruit)
9-10 pm : 8 oz formula
Distracting him with a toy or a spoon does help to keep him from fussing around in his highchair.
