no weight loss but body seems slimmer

My baby is 7+months old. I seem to have lost some weight slowly in the last 3 months but the strange thing is that the scale still shows the same weight as 6 weeks after birth (when I stopped breastfeeding). It goes up and down but basically according to the scale I have not lost anything. But when I look in the mirror and fit into some clothes it seems to improve. How is that possible?

I gained 16 kilo's, lost 10 in the first 6 weeks and now (according to the scale) need another 5/6 kilo's to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. Unfortunately my breast are bigger now. That might account for some of the weight, but I am pretty sure that it's not that much more then before.

I am one of those unfortunate women who increased in shoe size, breast size and maybe overall in body size too. I really do not want to spend money on new clothes and like to get back into all the old stuff but how long do I need to wait? I am a full-time working mum who does play some sports but a daily work-out is out of the question. I am afraid that I will even grow bigger when I will have a second child...

Aaaaiiyaaa I am pretty frustrated :-/

I stopped (in too much pain with bleeding nipples) after 6weeks already. Got my period back 6 weeks after that... Those periods have been very heavy so far so thought that might help me to loose some more weight (think it affects the water rentention).

I have even been on a strict diet (Southbeach) for 2 weeks of no fruits, dairy, rice, bread, pasta etc. Lost 1 kilo but scale is back again to old weight. I eat normal, no bad things. Never eat candy & cookies etc...

I'm with Starlionblue, exercise is the real key to losing weight. I'm also a full time mum with no helper and diets don't work for me as I need my food to keep me energised, besides I can't live without my pasta and bread!

I started jogging when my husband was home in the evenings and the kids were asleep. This just started at 20mins a day and could never do more than 30mins as I didn't have the time and I would also do some sit ups etc during the day whilst my baby played. With sensible eating and exercise, my weight just fell and I was my pre-pregnancy weight at about 8 months.

I completely sympathize with you flower. I have a 9-mths baby boy and I was in the exact situation as you. I've had ppl who thought I was still pregnant! I am also a working mom and believe me I know how precious time is. Anyway, what worked amazingly for me was massage. I'm not normally the type to spend money or time getting massages, but it got to a point I needed time to relax & desperately wanting to slim down body shape! I started 2 months ago, just once every 2 weeks and I notice I am reducing in size a lot faster. I can now fit into my pre-pregnancy jeans! Try it once & you might be pleasantly surprised like I was!
