How much shall I change to be interpreter for a half day trip/meeting in Shenzhen? I am based in HK. Interpreting for a banking client, English - Mandarin.

A friend of mine worked on a consultancy basis and charged his client $4k for the day (even if it was half a day as he was unable to corordinate another client for the remaining half day) plus travel expenses.

Not less than 600hkd/hour, inclusive of break time. Travel time not included but expenses should be reimbursed (if you need a visa to cross the border, that too should be be covered)
