Working at Michael Page - Questions

Hello,

A few questions for those that work(ed) at Michael Page or those that know people that work there.

Seeing that they have recruitment consultant positions and junior recruitment consultant positions, I was wondering about what people think about working there.

First phase of interviews seemed okay, just wondering what the work culture is like. What is a lot of work, do you think it was overwhelming, is it as rigorous as they say it is? 8am-7pm working time seems rough.

Is it a dead career path (as in you'll get stuck doing that and just that)?

Just generally, how was it and what do you think about it?

And lastly, for those that wish to share information, can you give insight on what your starting salary was and position (PM if you wish to keep it private).

Thank you for your opinions and comments, much appreciated.

From what I have observed it seems the more senior consultants last a lot longer than the junior ones. If recruitment is what you want to do, MP is possibly the most reputable for middle management candidates. I think variety of comapnies use MP, too.

Also seeking information from former recruiters on any of the large recruiting firms from the stand point of working as a recruiter for them. (Michael Page, Robert Walters, Ambition, etc.) May accept a position with one of them and dont want to make a wrong move as all will have non-compete employment contracts I am sure.

Any information greatly appreciated. If you are more comfortable PM me. All replies confidential.
