They really don't need any entertainment at that age. A party is more for the parents. Invite a few friends round, if they have little ones the same age the kids will just be happy with a few toys lying around the floor. Just put out a few simple finger foods for the kids, some cheese, crackers and wine etc for the adults. And a cake of course.

Although she seems too young to understand, I would say all kids love animals, especially for snakes, lizards, frogs....

In their shows I have seen 1-2 y.o. kids looking at the animals with wide opened eyes and got really excited.

when my kid turned 1, we volunteered to host our regular playgroup for that week - we had a birthday cake, friends brought presents, everything over in less than 2 hours.
the next day (which was a saturday), we took him to the botanical gardens with a friend visiting from UK. the adults ate the leftover cake and drank some wine while my son had a run around and played with his new toddler car. he had a blast.
we were initially tempted to have a party but decided against it as it would be too hectic/overwhelming for our kid. when he turns 2 next year, we will probably do the same. simple cake-cutting session with playgroup and then a special outing with mummy and daddy.

hi thnx all for advice, we have booked HKFC for her party and friends are coming but my concern is maybe kids might get bored, I have like 6 to 8 yrs old in the party, so i was wondering if clown is ok , my llittle one really likes mickey any body who can dress up like one?
