Moving to Ruby Chalet, SK

I've been looking to move out to Sai Kung, and viewed a couple of places in Ruby Chalet. I was just wondering if anyone lives or has lived there, and has anything good or bad to say, or any tips?

Yep, lived there for a few years until fairly recently and really liked it. Good location, and fairly quiet. Close to public transport as Saikunga says, but buses from Sai Kung to Choi Hung can be pretty full in peak hours by the time they get to the bus-stop by Ruby Chalet and quite often several would sail by before one had a space on it.


There was an issue with the flat roofs and quality of original building materials - certainly in our house - and major work needed doing every couple of years because our particular landlord wasn't prepared to spend a lot to get it done properly once and for all. But maybe yours has gone to the expense and trouble of bringing your potential home up to a satisfactory standard. Actually, there always seemed to be renovations going on up and down the road so it could get a little noisy at times, but you've got to expect that anywhere in Hong Kong where you're in close proximity to other houses. I'm sure you'll enjoy living there.
