I'll be going to Hong Kong for 2 night during 23-25 December, the hotel price is too expensive for my budget, am trying to find something more reasonable or may be a room in a apartment instead. Does anyone hv any idea? Or is anyone willing to spare a room ? BTW, I'm a single female. :)

Hi HH&T
Have sent you a PM.
Also for others sometimes the YMCA or YWCA is a great option.

i was just in h k and saw somethin on tv about a new thing "shoestring" travellers are doing. its called "couch surfing" and what happens is people invite you to saty in their homes (for a fee of course). alot of people have enjoyed doing this and say they get a "better look" at h k and it costs about the same as staying in a "guest house" and/or hostel but most people say it is better and/or safer.
its cathin on outside h k in austrailia and/ new zealand and japan. probably macau too.

Macau try this place (hostel) - http://www.augusters.de/
Looks a little scary walking up the stairs, but the people are friendly and a great location! Oh ya, and clean.

Not sure if 700 HKD/night is too expensive? If not, try Pousada De Mongha. The place is REALLY nice and runs by Macau government. I stayed there before. The place and the service were very impressed, though it's not very near Senado Square but can be reached by bus (if I'm not wrong, bus no. 19).
